(“EV Buddy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides EV charging, mobile charging, roadside power delivery, fleet resilience, Rent-A-Charger, charging infrastructure, and related software services. This policy applies to EV Buddy websites, mobile applications, and services that link to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, company name, vehicle details, charger information, host site information, service request details, support messages, booking information, and communication preferences.

We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, browser type, log data, diagnostics, crash reports, cookies, approximate location, precise location when permitted, charging session data, charger status, connector type, charging activity, and usage analytics.

3. Location Information

EV Buddy services may require location information to show nearby chargers, process Rent-A-Charger bookings, dispatch roadside charging help, verify service locations, support fleet operations, and improve safety. Precise location is collected only when you allow it through your device settings or when needed for an active service request. You may disable location permissions at any time in your iOS or Android settings, but some features may not work properly.

4. App Permissions

Our iOS and Android apps may request permissions such as location, camera, photos, notifications, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi/network access, and device diagnostics. These permissions are used only for app functionality such as finding service locations, scanning QR codes, uploading charger or vehicle photos, sending service updates, connecting equipment, troubleshooting, and improving reliability.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and operate our services, create and manage accounts, process bookings and service requests, support charging sessions, connect drivers with hosts or responders, communicate service updates, process payments, provide customer support, improve app performance, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain safety, comply with legal requirements, and develop new EV charging features.

6. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. EV Buddy does not store full credit card numbers unless expressly stated by the payment provider. Payment processors may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

7. Sharing of Information

We may share information with service providers, payment processors, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, roadside responders, charging hosts, fleet operators, business partners, utilities, and other parties needed to complete a requested service. We may also share information when required by law, to protect safety, to prevent fraud, to enforce our terms, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, financing, or acquisition.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use sensitive personal information for unrelated advertising purposes.

8. Third-Party Services

Our services may integrate with maps, payment systems, analytics tools, cloud hosting, messaging tools, app stores, EV charging networks, OCPP/charger systems, fleet systems, or partner services. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own privacy policies.

9. Cookies and Analytics

13. Account and Data Deletion

To request account deletion or deletion of personal information associated with the EV Buddy app, contact us through the Contact page or the support channel provided in the app. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request. Deleting an account may remove access to bookings, charging history, host tools, responder tools, fleet tools, and related services.

14. Children’s Privacy

EV Buddy services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. California, New Jersey, and Other U.S. Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of personal information. EV Buddy will respond to valid privacy requests as required by applicable law.

16. International Users

EV Buddy is based in the United States. If you use our services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
